Way back in 1973 the business was begun by Jack Karagalinian who put his moniker to the business name “JK Engraving & Classic Signs”.  As businesses progress over time they grow and evolve and sometimes change ownership, and “JK” has done just that in its 50 years of trading.

The current owners, Dean and Helen Martin, acquired JK Engraving & Signs in 2021 bringing a fresh and energetic perspective to the business.  Dean began his signage career straight from Year 10, literally one week after finishing school he secured an apprenticeship and became a qualified Screen Printer working in the safety sign industry.  His career progressed into digital printing and graphic design working with vehicle wraps and general signage, and he later became a factory manager leading a crew of people.  Dean brings 46 years of signage experience and mastery to ‘JK’, and together with our team, we showcase over 60 years combined knowledge and expertise. 

JK Engraving & Signs target industrial engraving and signage working with many diverse industries such as electrical and air-conditioning, plumbing and trade, construction and fire safety protection.  We work with national and multinational companies such as UGL, Downer, John Holland Group, Wormald, OPAL, QENOS, ANSTO, Subaru Australia and NSW National Parks & Wildlife Services to name a few. We welcome smaller jobs and ‘drop-ins’ too, you are always invited to come and see us at the workshop.
